Inspired By Humans.
When I create art, I am inspired by people. A lot of my work depicts them either coming together or coming apart. I incorporate tears and smiles, Heavy colors or black and white. When I see something out in the world and I need to get it out of me, or I need to express it or stress it to other people, I draw it or sketch it.
The world around me at any time is what inspires me. Everywhere I go is art, and it is amazing. Everything is so different no matter where you are. I think you can find things anywhere to really love and want to create from.
Faces.
My faces are something I draw a lot. I don’t know how I got inspired to make them. Before, I hated drawing people. I used to only draw realistic things. I would hate to draw them. Finally I decided to try it. Somehow I landed on a weird, curvy face that doesn’t look realistic. From there, I was inspired by humans once again.
Each piece is very different. I‘ve tried so hard to make the same faces twice, but they all look like very different people. When I look at them, I get a vibe of how they’re feeling. I think whatever I’m feeling, or whatever I see, or where the energy is coming from, that’s what I’ll see when I draw.
Sometimes, I’ll draw real people. I made a mini-series that is about a bunch of people facing each other, holding hands. I was inspired by people with my Faces series.
